Few Tips How To Iron Silk Fabrics

* Be careful not to overpress. Your silk should never look “ironed”. Instead, it should be look lightly pressed.
* When constructing your garment’s seams, press both seam allowances to one side. Then press to the other side.
* Place a large envelope under each seam allowance as you press them open. This will avoid a flat, ironed look, as well as an indention of your seams showing from the right side of your garment.
* Carefully press lightly as you go along, then take it to a good dry-cleaner and have it steamed-pressed.
