Today is February 29 and this only happens once in every four years. This is what we called Leap Day. We have only 28 days in the month February but during Leap Year we have 29 days in this month. I know a few that are born on February 29. And they only celebrate their birthday once in every four years.
We usually have 365 days during common year, in the Gregorian calendar which now serves as the standard calendar for civil use throughout the globe. But during leap year we have 366 days with an extra day or what they called intercalary day designated as February 29 which is today.
Leap year will only happen every four years in order to help synchronize the calendar year with the solar year. This is the length of time it takes to complete its orbit about the sun. So the rules of determining a leap year, is most years can be divided evenly by 4 leap years.
I heard this from some people, that usually the people that were born on this day or on February 29 they are either very smart or slow learner or have mental capacity. I don’t know if you believe this or how true this is but that was other people believe.
But I do noticed this also because I have known people that are born on this day or in the month of February that are very smart people but there are slow learner as well. But I read an article that the chances of being born on a leap day are only about 1 in 1,500. The percentage of being born during leap day is very low.
