Spring is here and that means many of us will be getting out of the house to enjoy the great outdoors that is all around us. Some will take vacations to exotic places all around the world, some will stay closer to home and go swimming at the beach or some my load up all their gear to go camping.

Most of us are just looking for a little fun and excitement to unwind and get away from our normal day and our day to day life. What many have not tried and maybe right in your back yard or could be a great time while on your vacation is Fly Fishing.

Fly Fishing is done in Rivers and Streams and can be not only exhilarating it can be relaxing and fun at the same time. For those who are new to this type of fishing I will go into a little detail. Fly Fishing is where you use a mayfly or caddis hatch as bait, then search for the fish in a river or stream and cast into them in hopes of catching a fish.

Now this may not sound like fun to all, but to many it is a great time and a great way to bond with nature. Recently I found a website (http://www.fishypic.com/) that allows people to share their photos of their experience Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Inshore Fishing and Offshore Fishing. Take a look you will not believe the size of some of the fish that people have caught.

To learn more about the Rivers and Streams that is located all over this wonderful planet you may also want to visit the USGS website (http://ga.water.usgs.gov/edu/earthrivers.html). This way you can learn where and why there are rivers, where the most likely places you will find fish for your Fly Fishing trip. How rivers and streams begin and where they end.

This spring and summer is your chance to get out and enjoy what nature has to offer. You never know you may become a lover of Fly Fishing or at least have a chance to enjoy a little time with nature. Either way makes sure you take some pictures and stop back to share them with everyone.
